Stylish Elopement at Biester Palace in Sintra, Portugal

Some couples fly across the world to get married in castles and honestly? I get it.

Because when you see Biester Palace tucked into the misty hills of Sintra, Portugal… it’s giving main character energy.

Tommy and Anette, two effortlessly stylish humans from the U.S., did just that. They brought their, bike riders, rockabilly edge, their closest friends, and a whole lot of love to this magical corner of Europe and turned their elopement into a dream.

They got ready separately at the stunning Chalet Saudade, a vintage-meets-romance boutique stay that feels like it was built for slow mornings and handwritten vows. The day started a bit grey but the sun would eventually come out for us later on. Cue soft light, the toasts, nervous laughs, and the sweetest getting-ready playlist (if you know, you know). There and then they had their first look at the terrace - they are so in love.

Next stop: the iconic Biester Palace. Wildly beautiful, it has that European grandiosity without ever feeling too much. Think: lush gardens, secret staircases, golden walls, and that sweet old-world elegance we’re all a little obsessed with. and also, if you didn’t know, it was a big part of the movie The 9th Gate.

Their ceremony was intimate. Just the two of them and their closest two friends as witnesses. The sound of leaves moving in the breeze and the swallows that flew around them. No crowd. No pressure. Just real love, real vows, and the kind of “you and me” thing that makes elopements so special.

After the ceremony, we explored the palace together for portraits. Every corner of Biester is a photographer’s dream, and these two? Absolute naturals.

Tommy’s style and Anette’s classic glam were the chef’s kiss of contrasts against the ornate architecture. We laughed, wandered, danced a little, and made some serious magic. This elopement wasn’t about big productions or perfect timelines. It was about choosing intention over expectation. Tommy and Anette made space for themselves to feel everything, the joy, the nerves, the softness. And that’s what made it unforgettable.

Eloping doesn’t mean scaling it down, it means focusing on what really matters. And when it looks like this? It's pure luxury.

Tommy & Anette — you two were a whole vibe. Thank you for letting me tag along and capture all that magic. From quiet moments to full-on joy, this day felt like one big love song in a palace — and I got to shoot the music video. So grateful to have been your third wheel in Sintra.
